His servants drove his body in a chariot from Megiddo, and brought him to Jerusalem and buried him &hellip;<\/em><br \/>\n\t(2 Kings 23:29-30&nbsp; &nbsp;NASB)<br \/>\n\tHere it is clearly stated that Josiah died at Megiddo in a military conflict with Pharaoh Neco.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #b22222\">Jerusalem<\/span><\/strong><br \/>\n\t<em>So his servants took him out of the chariot and carried him in the second chariot which he had, and brought him to Jerusalem <sup>[<\/sup><sup><a href=\"http:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=2%20Chronicles%2035:23-24&amp;version=NASB#fen-NASB-11991a#fen-NASB-11991a\" title=\"See footnote a\">a<\/a><\/sup><sup>]<\/sup>where he died and was buried in the tombs of his fathers &hellip;<\/em><br \/>\n\t(2 Chronicles 35:24&nbsp; NASB)<br \/>\n\t<strong>Remark!<\/strong> [a] where; literally: <em>and<\/em><br \/>\n\tThis text gives the impression that he died in Jerusalem.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/skepticsannotatedbible.com\/contra\/josiah.html\"><span style=\"color: #006400\"><strong>SAB Contradiction&nbsp;263<\/strong><\/span><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Question<\/strong><br \/>\n\tDid king Josiah die in Megiddo or in Jerusalem? Are the biblical records divided in this matter?<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>False translation of &nbsp;2 Chronicles 35:24<\/strong><br \/>\n\t1. the word &lsquo;where&rsquo; is literally &lsquo;and&rsquo;.&nbsp;<br \/>\n\t2. the word &lsquo;brought&rsquo;. Two<em> different Hebrew verbs<\/em> are used:<br \/>\n\t&#8211; In 2 Chronicles: &lsquo;halak&rsquo;, meaning (hiphil form): <strong>cause to go away to<\/strong> (Jerusalem). The depart is included.<br \/>\n\t&#8211; In 2 Kings: &lsquo;boa&rsquo;, meaning (hiphil form): <strong>cause to come in<\/strong> (Jerusalem). The entering in Jerusalem is included.<br \/>\n\tIt&rsquo;s a pity that the difference of these verb meanings is not made clear in the translations.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Better translation<\/strong><br \/>\n\tTaking the two points in consideration the translation of 2 Chronicles should be:<br \/>\n\t<em><span style=\"color: #ff0000\">&lsquo;So his servants took him out of the chariot and carried him in the second chariot which he had, and <strong>took him&nbsp;to go&nbsp;to Jerusalem and he died and he was buried<\/strong> in the tombs of his fathers.&rsquo;<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p>In 2 Chronicles Josiah died as soon as he was carried to his second chariot and they departed for Jerusalem.
