Two places to dwell?<\/strong>
\n\tThere are two, or rather three things, the critic doesn’t understand very well about God and his work.
\n\t1. Many rich people have two or even more places of residence, where they may stay for some time. This raises the question: Is God not rich enough to have more places to dwell?
\n\t2. It is not physically possible for a person to live in several places at the same time. However God is not man. It is possible for Him to dwell in several  places at the same time by his Spirit. Already in Genesis 1:2 that is the case. The Spirit of the Lord was over the waters. It would be nonsense to suggest that at that moment the heavens were empty, apart from angels. No. God was also in the heavens above.<\/p>\n

First Conclusion<\/strong>
\n\tIn Old Testament times God was dwelling in heaven and on Mount Sion, in Jerusalem. As for the question: How did he dwell in the temple of Sion? See the article: Does God dwell in temples?<\/a><\/p>\n

And nowadays?<\/strong>
\n\tAnother point: Is God still dwelling in Jerusalem? David said (1 Kings 23:25): “<\/em>The Lord God of Israel has given rest to His people, and He dwells in Jerusalem forever<\/strong>.<\/em>”<\/em> So Yes, He is still dwelling in Jerusalem. How does He do this, as there is no holy temple now? The answer is that there have always been Jewish people living in Jerusalem; the people of Israel who have preserved the Word of God, the Hebrew Bible, or Old Testament. God has always lived in his words. By that He made himself known on earth.<\/p>\n

Moreover<\/strong>
\n\tThere is a third point that not should be overlooked concerning this matter. In 1 Corinthians 3:16 we hear the apostle Paul saying to Christians in Corinth: “<\/em>Do you not know that you are a temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?<\/em>”<\/em> So God also lives in the hearts of the people who have accepted Jesus Christ. The critic has still a lot to learn about the Majesty of God and his mighty works.<\/p>\n
