Proposed Bible Contradiction
SAB claims a contradiction between the reports in Kings and Chronicles concerning the number of people that managed the 150,000 stone-cutters and porters Solomon needed for the building of the temple. Were there 3,300 or 3,600 overseers?
Is there really a contradiction?
There are three types of leaders mentioned in the texts:
1 Kings: Solomon’s officers, who were appointed to manage the work: 300 (apparently).
1 Kings: Foremen, bosses which ruled over the people: 3.300
2 Chronicles: Overseers all together: 3.600
Sorry, I can’t discover any discrepancy.
